The Impact of “The Hope” in daily living

The Life and Ministry of Jesus Christ is so profound, words often escape my ability to fully express my thankfulness and gratitude for all the Son of God has done for me. Jesus Christ accomplished works are so powerful and enriching. What the Son of God has DONE, impacts my past, present, and future. Over the past several days I have been examining in detail the event that will culminate the Christian journey, the return of Jesus Christ. What a glorious day it will be for the born again son/daughter of God, to see Jesus Christ face to face and live with him throughout eternity.

Though Jesus Christ return is a future event, the accurate knowledge of his return is designed to have an impact on our daily living. The return of Jesus Christ, also called “The Hope”, is to provide the believer with endurance and stamina to stand and withstand the attacks of our personal Adversary, the Devil. “The Hope” is to instill in man and woman motivation to love and serve. The Hope should burn in our very souls and anchor our souls to the truth of God’s Word—so we never have to be a wandering soul ever again.

If the only time we consider The Hope is at the death of a believer, then we don’t truly understand The Hope. The believer who knows and understands the reality of the return of Jesus Christ, spends their daily lives improving themselves —

1 John 3:3 (KJV)

“And every man that hath this HOPE in him purifiers himself, even as he is pure.”

1 John 3:3 (The Passion Translation)

“And all who focus their HOPE on him will always be purifying themselves, just as Jesus is pure.”

1 John 3:3 (Amplified Classic)

“And everyone who has this HOPE [resting] on him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless).”

The Hope burning in my heart and soul compels me to become a better and improved believer. The Hope has direct impact and bearing on my decision to renew my mind (Romans 12:2). In other words, The HOPE is my motivation in being better, it eliminates mediocrity , and it keeps me striving for higher ground in my daily living. Let us keep the return of Jesus Christ in its proper place, at the center of our life, heart, and very existence. God Bless you all
