You have the Favor of God (Grace) Pt.4

Thank you all so much for listening to the MP3. Unfortunately the video teaching cut off in the middle. In this final installment, Rev. Smith lays out the clear purpose of God’s grace and favor. God’s grace was never designed to be a license to sin, a cover for sinner a cover to violate the word of God by way of our lack of commitment or lack of discipline habits. The listener will see the clear example of the Apostle Paul and what we are to do with God’s grace.

Uncommon Compassion: The Courage to Love When It’s Not Easy

Uncommon Compassion: The Courage to Love When It’s Not Easy

Compassion is often seen as a soft virtue—a gentle kindness reserved for those in need. But true, Biblical compassion is anything but weak. It is fierce, brave, and countercultural. It sees pain and chooses to engage. It costs something.

In Luke 10, Jesus tells the story of the Good Samaritan. A man is beaten and left for dead. Religious leaders pass by, perhaps too busy or too holy to help. But a Samaritan—an outsider, an enemy by cultural standards—stops, binds his wounds, and pays for his care. Jesus called this man the neighbor.

Real compassion crosses lines. It refuses to let prejudice, politics, or personal comfort keep it from action. It risks reputation to reach the broken. In 1 John 3:17–18, we read, “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?”

Jesus’ entire ministry was built on uncommon compassion. He touched lepers. He dined with tax collectors. He forgave adulterers. He wept at gravesides. He didn’t just feel compassion; He moved with it.

Colossians 3:12 instructs us to “put on…bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.” Compassion is not just a response—it’s a garment we wear, a lifestyle we choose.

But let’s be honest: compassion is inconvenient. It interrupts our schedules, challenges our biases, and stretches our hearts. It is easier to scroll past need than to stop and serve.

Uncommon compassion requires courage. The courage to step into messy situations. The courage to forgive when it’s hard. The courage to love those who may never return it.

We don’t need to be rich to be compassionate. We need to be available. A kind word, a shared meal, a listening ear—these are acts of the Kingdom.

In a world growing colder by the day, compassion is revolutionary. It is light in darkness. It is God’s love in action. As believers, we are not called to comfort but to compassion. We are called to embody the heart of Christ.

May we be people who love without limits, serve without seeking recognition, and extend grace without condition. Let our compassion be uncommon.

We have the Favor of God (Grace) Pt.3

On resurrection Sunday 2025, Rev. Smith explores the “why” of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What took place for the born-again believer when God raised Jesus Christ from the dead? Our justification was secured. In this much needed power packed teaching Rev. Smith hits home on our justification before God. You will see that our justification is another part of the great grace of God.

Being Thankful

In order for any relationship to work (including our relationship with God), it requires us to be thankful. When we are not thankful we become vulnerable to the darkness of the Adversary. Lets learn to have a lifestyle of thankfulness each and every day. Enjoy the teaching and God bless you.

The Lordship of Jesus Christ in The Family

Holiday decorations

A successful Family just like a successful marriage takes time, commitment, study and focus. Christ is the head of the body. God has been preparing us for his Lordship since the beginning of time. God’s word spans all time so that we are prepared no matter when we are born, or when Christ may return.

If you will indulge me for a moment I would like to begin with a few words from Jesus Christ.

Matt 5:17

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the words of the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (abound/complete/leave nothing wanting)

As the bridge between God and man, as well as Old Testament law and a new administration governed by the grace of God and a new kind of love. Jesus was about to turn the world right side up!

John 9:39

And Jesus said for judgement I am come into this world, that they which see not, might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Jesus came to introduce mankind to a new way of seeing God, themselves, and the world around them. Not with their five senses, but with spiritual depth and perception. With new light.

John 9:46

I am come a light into the world that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (tarry, continue, be held captive)

For us to maintain The Lordship of Jesus Christ in our families today it is going to require a willingness to change what we thought we knew, some re-writes, some humility, and a meekness to keep the written word of God first in your heart. Let’s look at a few very important needs.

Continuous prayer – The word encourages us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, to pray without ceasing. This deepens our individual relationship, and devotion to God. There is no prayer too big or too small for a Father that loves his children.

Make God your 1st stop on a daily basis. Daily is the minimum required to be a disciple. You must seek to know the written word first. Ask, Seek, and Knock then watch the word open up to you. Matt 6:33, 7:7-8, Phil 4:6-7

We are to pray in the spirit and with our understanding. This builds your comfort, and increases your honesty, 1 Cor 14:15 Pray alone and with your family. Pray with and for each other. 1 Peter 3:12. James 5:16

Pray for Knowledge and wisdom. You cannot properly steward a family without it! Colo 1:9-10

    • Check Your ExpectationsRom 15:4 What does the word say? Does this apply to me? Is this my motivation and Practice? Psalm 143:10 Is this your true desire?  Let’s test it. Mark 10:4-8 What was God’s will, what was his true intent? Micah 6:6-8. What does the word say that God requires? “O man” means mankind, both men and women. There are so many differences in us as men, as women, in cultures, in nations, in traditions and beliefs. We are too quick to judge, and pick apart diversities, likes, dislikes. It only brings bitterness, mistrust, and division. 1 Pet 4:8-10 This is how we conduct ourselves in the body of Christ.

There are Commandments to Husbands (8) and Wives (2) Eph 5:22-33 God designed the marriage relationship to be an example of how the body of Christ is to function. By proper arrangement and deliberate decision.

1 Pet 3: 1-12 Both of you have a say in how this is to proceed, but having an endocrine system try to take over the mind, or a fist in rage blackening the eye of your own flesh makes the entire body diseased! We all have our place and function. We represent Christ here on earth. They will know us by our love.  Rom 5:5.

Parents withChildren Gen 18:19 command (set in order), Deut 11:19 teach, Ephesians 6:4 “Ye Fathers” means nearest ancestor or both parents. Together they are toraise them in the ways and will of God. This is the true expectation for those who choose to have children.

Children obey Eph 6:1-3, Colo 3:20.

    • Godly Communication – Once we confess Jesus Christ as Lord of our Lives some things should stand out about us. This is one of those categories. Eph 4:29-32. We speak the truth in Love Eph 4:15 This is part of our growing up in Christ. We are not hypocrites who have separate rules for children than we do for adults Mark 7:6-8. We can control our tongues, our tone, and our volume Prov 15:1-5. The gift of holy spirit has made all this possible through the accomplishments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Rom 8:26. We don’t save our kindest voice for our bosses. This belongs to our husbands, our wives, and our children. They are the body of Christ. It’s time to level up! 1 Tim 6:17-19

We have strength together and Satan knows it. He wants us divided, fighting over small things, hating one another, intolerant, and full of pride and envy. Acts 2:42, Matt 18:19-20. Agreement is a powerful spiritual weapon against the enemy.

Finally, our number of days on this earth have not been given to us. The exact day we shall leave is not known to any. So, remember Laughter and Merriment are good for every soul. It decreases pain, relaxes tension in your muscles, lowers our stress hormones, and stimulates our heart, lungs, and circulation. Prov 15:13, Prov 17:22, Eccl 8:15

Ephesians 3:17-21 For the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the Family
